With such an active lifestyle she can’t afford to not be hydrated, but like most of us doesn’t always need a product with sugar, carbohydrates, and calories. Patricia Walsh, a blind athlete from Seattle Washington and the 2010 Nautica New York City Triathlon Physically Challenged Open Division Champion will attempt to be the first blind woman to break 12 hours in the Ironman distance this Saturday with the help of two very special people. I was SO excited for Wildflower weekend this year after missing it last year for Ironman St George. I am training for Ironman Texas on May 21st, so there would be no taper, only a few days of rest before Saturday.  This meant I had set no expectations for myself as the field at Wildflower is always stacked with some of the best competitors from around the country…case in point, the podium ended up being from Washington, Idaho, California, Utah
