The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, more commonly referred to as RAGBRAI, is the oldest, largest and longest seven-day bicycle ride in the world, weaving from the west of Iowa, to the great Mississippi River on the eastern side. RAGBRAI takes 9,000 riders through eight host towns, each providing camping, entertainment, food and beer! This summer I witnessed this spectacle and each of the seven days, as the cyclists traveled from town to town (average daily distance of 68 miles per day), I
