Youth Tennis Clinic Lovin’ the Nuun!
On a crisp fall day in Glen Head Long Island, a group of roughly twenty kids ages 8-12, all shapes and sizes are running suicides preparing their muscles and hearts for the two hours that will ensue at the Robbie Wagner Tournament training center.
This facility is the breeding ground for the future of college and professional tennis in the Northeast. Similarly it is also where Nuun hydration is replacing the sugar filled electrolyte replacement drinks currently on the market. The coaches literally run the kids into the ground for two hours, teaching skills, tactics, sportsmanship, and nutrition. All the while drinking Nuun. Lots of smiles throughout the drill session.
Our Nuun ambassador Jason Weisberg introduced Nuun to the the facility director and owner as a result of a conversation about his athletes peaking and troughing based on sugar levels. He suggested Nuun as an alternative. The rest is history.
The kids all loved the Grape and Fruit Punch Nuun samples and the bottles were a hit; we look forward to more tennis players and coaches catching on and ‘serving up’ some Nuun at their tournaments and clinics around the US.
